Eco Fencing for Eco Centre

Eco Flexifence is pleased to have provided the fencing for the new Eco and Business Training Centre situated on the Rackheath Industrial Estate, Norwich, built for Broadland District Council.

As a keen supporter of ecologically efficient projects we are always keen to become involved in such schemes. The Centre was constructed featuring many ecologically efficient innovations, such as rainwater harvesting, solar panels, triple glazing, special insulated flooring and automatic lighting.

As an eco-friendly company, Eco Flexifence was an obvious choice for the centre, supplying our trademark durable, virtually maintenance-free fencing, constructed from recycled materials. The styrene panels resemble wood but are actually made using non-biodegradable, polystyrene packaging products, dispensing with the usual nightmare disposal of such material, and meaning that we do not put further demands on the world’s precious wood resources.

We are a major suppler of hard-wearing, graffiti resistant fencing products, including waste bin enclosures, to Lovell’s, who provide services to Norwich City Council. It was a pleasure on this occasion to provide the fencing for Broadland District Council, and we are always keen to supply our products for similar projects.

Turning Packaging to Fencing

Recycling is something we are all endeavouring to do more and more, instead of polluting the environment with large amounts of rubbish.

Polystyrene packaging is non-biodegradable and therefore a bit of a nightmare when it comes to disposal.  However, here at Flexifence we have a great solution – we construct our street and garden furniture from recycled polystyrene, therefore reducing waste.

Our production methods also mean that we are reducing the demand for wood, conserving this valuable resource. Finished products have the appearance of wood, whilst being far more durable, virtually maintenance-free and extremely long-lasting.

Our range includes fencing, gates, benches, seats, picnic tables, bin enclosures and planters, in finishes resembling oak, mahogany, pine or a wood of your choice.

It’s Fencing – But Not As You Know it!

If we said fencing, what comes to mind? Wooden panels and concrete posts?

Although wooden fencing has long been the norm, it requires a high level of maintenance, due to weather damage and wear and tear, and it can also be easily vandalised.

Now imagine fencing which is easy to install, virtually maintenance-free, lightweight yet tough and has a surface texture that is resistant to graffiti and corrosion. It’s also strong enough to stand up to attempted acts of vandalism, is crack proof, splinter free, less flammable and impervious to rot and algae. In addition it’s made from 90% recycled materials!
